i was thinking, many on here are going through a tough time; whether a loss of a loved one, situation changes in our personal life, dealing with ex-jw stuff, or maybe all of the above.
the sad times can become a bit overwhelming...for us all.
what if we summitted funny videos (please make them very tame) that could put a smile on someones face?
Freedom: I'm not teary eyed, honest. That was a beautiful girl singing a beautiful song.
this song has always been one of my favourites.
wintley phipps tells the history of the song.
very moving.. amazing grace: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmf_24cqqt0&mode=related&search=.
Mouthy: I'm glad you liked the song. I was going to post I am Free for you but I was worried you'd pass out.
nj: I didn't mean to make you sad. Maybe this will lift your spirits, I'll understand though if you don't watch the whole video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YikDJIj9Mo
renee: Amazing grace is one of my favourite gospel songs. This is a really nice version. I saved the link.
reborn: One Way was the last song we sang last night. We have a lot of young people so we cater to both young and older. The evening service is sometimes taken over by them and so you can imagine what they choose to sing. There are some great guitarists on the worship team.
The others were We Fall Down and Hosanna:

cab: Have you heard KD Lang's version? I saw her do this song on TV a while back. Must also include Leonard Cohen's (he did write the song) It's a very sad song (so nj don't listen to this one)

I really Mercy Me's version of I Can Only Imagine
Sad Emo: I've never heard Be My Everything. Saved the link. Hillsong Kids-cute
Thanks for contributing. I always want hear music I've never heard before.
here are the final batch of blank covers for this time round.
in response to those who ask, i have seen the private edition cover from brazil or wherever that has been posted.
i'm waiting for an english version to put up for captions.
Wasanelder: Unless you have already dowloaded the other covers could you possibly replace the one I did with this one? Some how shooting someone seems a bit extreme. What was I thinking?

I'm back but just to post this. I thought it appropriate considering your handle freedomfrog. I sent this to someone a while ago who was down. For the inner child in all of us.

My brother sent this link a couple of days ago and it still gives me chills. No, he's not Pavarotti but this man dared to dream big. It's a wonderful video. It gives one an incentive to at least try.

Thanks for the post freedomfrog. We sure needed it.
I haven't seen the others yet but will open them tonight.
For a chuckle here's a Carol Burnett skit I had saved in my YouTube file: The Dentist with Tim Conway & Harvey Korman

i so loved the post of the kitten the other day.
i checked-out this week and drank three bottles of gin, even though i stopped in toto four months ago, my wife is out of town.
please do not post anything about counseling here as i have tried that and am on lots of meds.
Dear oompa, because of all the commotion with Linda's passing I think a lot of people didn't notice a lot of the threads. I wouldn't have opened this one but because of JK666's thread about his concern for you I finally did.
I haven't read all the responses but I do see a lot of caring, supportive people here on the board. I know it's not like having people physically with you but it sure beats being totaly alone.
You start believing all the negative things in your head; that your worthless, that nobody really cares anyway. Think about your wife and children, friends, extended family, people here on this board, so many people are affected if one contemplates suicide or just wishing to pass on. I've been there and the sad, scary thing is that people can care and be supportive but in the end only we can change our circumstances with the help of a professional counsellor. If there is a medical problem then I realize it's a whole different story.
Please listen to your doctor. I know that it's hard for men to seek help but please do, if not for yourself, for your family.
I just read JK's post that you are okay right now. Please take care. I will add you to my prayers if that's okay. Heck I will do it anyway.
at least i don't think so.. he has a flu-like illness and feels pretty awful.
by his own admission, he's been neglecting himself these last few months, and i think with all the stres he's been under that perhaps his immune system is very low.
he looks pretty awful as well, like he's had all the blood drained out of him.. even so, he was going to get on with the things he needs to do today, at least until i intervened.
Hi Marion, I'm so sorry, but not surprised, to hear that Trev is ill. I agree that men can be very hard-headed. My husband is the same way. Maybe they think it's a sign of weakness. But I'm glad he finally listened to you. I hope you take care of yourself too. I know that Trev doesn't believe but I continue to pray for him (and all of you), that he will be comforted during this horrible time. Take good care, hugs from all of us here.
i couldn't find some on youtube but here some of my favourites that i could find.. someone like you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvpgim37rkw.

lisaBo: I will give yours a listen. It's a bit more difficult
Locutus: I deleted three songs by Them but these were the ones I had posted
Gloria: now this song has good memories for me. A local band used to play this and they would play it on and on (I guess it helped that the lead singer and I had a crush on each other) They did a great version. Also did a great version of Supremes You keep Me Hanging On but more bluesie and slower. I found one version kind of similar if memories serves me, but then it was sooooo long ago. The video is funny though, but it was the 60's.

These music threads seem to be pretty popular. Maybe I should start a Spencer Davis Group thread, or British Invasion.
What do you think? I rarely tire of music.
